EVGA’s Scouts ONLY TF2 Tournament

October 21, 2008 · Print This Article

EVGA, one of my favorite video card companies, have organized a fun looking TF2 tournament. The tournament is basically a giant scout only Deathmatch on arena maps.

My first impressions… well, it’s going to be interesting!

Although I don’t really know how well the tournament is going to go, it seems promising. Hopefully they’ll be doing some testing beforehand to make sure all the stats are registering properly.

The gist of it? Just sign up, log on to the EVGA server and kill as many people as you can on Nov 1st.

The winner gets a brand new EVGA GTX 280 which is the only prize that is worth fighting for IMO.
I’d like to praise EVGA for throwing this tournament… it shows that they are really close to their customer base.

Go check out the tournament!

worst tourney ever, 12v12, arena maps, CRITS, disorganized, and
only 8 rounds to determine “skill”, 2 rounds per arena map

it was pretty disorganized from the beginning, had to wait about 2 hours before i got to play from registration to start. I didn’t know that crits would be on, i thought this was an intelligent tournament. I think it was ran by a bunch of 14-17 year olds to be honast, they didn’t know the name of the maps… it was just an overall bad experience.

Got something to say?
